Stone Martin was born on February 18, 1999, in Hartsville, South Carolina. He is best known as a contestant on the musical competition series The X Factor when he was only in eighth grade. He appeared during the show's 3rd season in 2013, and was eliminated during the show's ninth episode. He also competed on the ABC talent series Boy Band, eliminated in the first episode.

Stone studied at the "A Cappella Academy in Los Angeles for two consecutive summers. He was accepted as a music major at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.[1]
