Jaden Blakley Gray (born March 27, 2001), also known as Blakley, is an American pop singer from Hawthorne, California. His mother, Demetria, is the Youth Choir Director at Faith Inspirational Church in Compton. Church is very important to him and he spends time volunteering when he can. His church participates and hosts multiple outreach programs for the city of Compton.
He auditioned for ABC's Boy Band with Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," and became an instant favorite, making the Top 8. Along with Cam Jackson, Marcus Pendleton, and Mikey Jimenez, they created a band called 4th Ave that made their debut in 2018. After the release of three extended plays, they disbanded at the end of 2019 to pursue solo careers.
Gray released his debut solo single, "Love Happy," on March 27, 2020, to coincide with his 19th birthday. Later in 2021, he released the singles "To My Heart" and "Easier" under the name Blakley.
Growing up, everyone in his family was musically gifted except for Gray himself. However, with some practice he eventually found his voice. He is the youngest of six from a blended family. Gray idolizes his older brother and tries to mimic his singing style. They are best friends despite their 11-year age difference.
In one of the Boy Band episodes, Gray explains that his biological father had been in and out of jail during his childhood, but Gray still loved him despite all those things.
